Aerospace R&D Base is located in Xinzhuang Industry Park, covering an area of 1120mu. Started in Sept. 2005, the first phase of the base was completed in Sept. 2007. The head quarter of Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology and other 7 aerospace research institutes have already moved into the base. In the future, with the major aerospace research institutes of Shanghai and more than 6000 aerospace hi-tech engineers inside, the R&D Base will become an important strategic aerospace R&D base in China.
The Aerospace Industry Base is situated nearby Caohejing Pujiang Hi-tech Park. It is planned to take 5 years to construct 5km2 of the base. The base will mainly develop aerospace industries for civilian use such as new energy and material, satellite application, information technology, special equipment and special vehicles.
The Aerospace Science Popularization Base will be situated in the south of Pujiang Town. Covering an area of 1500 mu, it will be built into a world first class large scale aerospace science popularization base with aerospace museum as the key part. The base is built to demonstrate the aerospace technology and achievements. Through the combination of science popularization and entertainment, people can learn aerospace knowledge and have a feel of aerospace.
